Pentas grows as a garden plantation or in a single pot. A good plantation needs good sunlight. You can make a good Pentas bush with pruning. Removing parts when pruning can be used to plant new ones. Tips of branches can use to propagate. Remove old faded flowers before plant. Plant media can be prepared mixing 01 portion of decayed plant material and 01 portion of sand together. Fill polythene bags with this media and plant new cuts. Then keep those in a shade or a propagator. You can use a rooting hormone to quick rooting. Root system forms within 2-3 weeks. After that remove carefully and re-plant in a proper place. Use 04 portions of top soil, 02 portions of decayed plant material and 01 portion of sand mixture to the re-plantation.
There are not much diseases come to the Pentas plant but mealy bug and leaves eating caterpillars may damage the plants easily. Use a systematic insecticide to control caterpillars.
